The successful candidate will play a key role in origination, structuring, and execution of commercial real estate lending opportunities, working closely with internal teams and external partners. They will cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, investors, brokers, and high-net-worth individuals. Key Responsibilities: Source and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial real estate sector, with a focus on loans exceeding $7.5 million. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders including brokers, developers, investors, attorneys, and accountants. Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and project feasibility by conducting financial analysis, property appraisals, and market research. Collaborate with internal investment teams to oversee due diligence and prepare investment proposals for approval. Negotiate loan terms and oversee the closing process, ensuring precision and efficiency. Stay up to date with trends in the commercial real estate market, competitive landscape, and relevant regulatory changes. Partner closely with investment professionals, analysts, and portfolio managers to achieve objectives. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies governing commercial lending. Key Requirements Essential: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field. Extensive experience in commercial real estate lending with a strong track record of originating large commercial mortgages >$7.5M. Strong knowledge of loan structuring, underwriting, and documentation. Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills. Established industry network. Proven business development and sales skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. This is a hybrid position.
